First this is for computer gaming.
If someone on a console wants to join in great!

#1 Your mouse, ANY BALL MOUSE, 4+ buttons, with scrol wheel. Will destroy any,
YES ANY drag mouse. They make some pretty good drag, gaming mice, but just not fast enough.
Your MOUSE should, fire, reload, go prone, bring up your sights, melee (wheel) No wheel use Z
But truth be told they are just to slow.

    #2 Your keyboard, the keys you use. W - S - D - A, strafe, shift or control.
will just get you killed over and over again. It's just not a natural or FAST place to
have your hand. Look at the placement of you hand? Think anyone could type 200 wpm with
their hand in that position? Keeping your hand flat & natural, is much faster than bunched
up in the top left corner. Then reaching down to ctrl, shift, to run, strafe, crouch...
    It's just way to SLOW

    Speed Keys :)
    B = froward, V = backwards, C = Crouch (don't toggle crouch hold crouch),
X = Switch Weapons, Z = Melee, Grenades, Flashlights... depending on the game.
D = doors, enter, exit, use, depending on the game. S & A, same flashlight,
grenades, equipment, health... depending on the game.
    F = Strafe Left, G = Strafe Right

At first if you have always used the default keys, this will seem hard. But once your hand is sitting
natural, on B, V, C, X, you will see your speed double or triple!

    Internet:
Of course, they add lag assist to most games. But with no lag assist, low ping is KING!

    Screen:
Big screens are great, high res is great, to high just gets you killed more :) Things will be smaller
    and harder to hit. So never res yourself into shooting at fly's :) 1200 - 1600 x 700 - 1200.
1600x1200 should be the very smallest you play, higher res then that without aim assist, aimbot, some
type of cheat. Just makes it very very hard to see your target at any distance.

    POV:
Again to high, gives you more then you need to see. Then you don't see the things you should.
Stock setting in most games, will be the fastest for that game. (80 to 90)

You game with a track ball.... yeah, I'm positive this is a sin only those old guys make. I guess I could *possibly* see your point of view if you used an ancient mouse, but once you step up to a couple thousand DPI you are hadly moving the mouse. As it stands, I only move my mouse finger distance and my palm never leaves it's spot unless i'm comboing on my mouse buttons all over the place.

I also severely disagree with your 'speed key' section

Depends on the trackball. I have both thermaltake black element which is 6500x6500 but it's no where near the speed of the ball mouse I use. The downside to the ball mouse you need to change the settings every time you play. If you don't set it to the slowest movement setting, you will never be able to hit anything.

The thermaltake has presets (5 mouse profiles), which I like. Because every game has a little different mouse speed. And at 6500x6500 it's not to slow with minimal moving of the mouse.
But any drag mouse under 6500 would just make you a lamb for the slaughter :)

Speed keys lol, try them for 10 games :) Having your hand in a natural location, will always be faster. W-S-X-A-D-Q-E, is to small of area for most adults hands. I see some of the kids having a hard time on B-V-C-X-Z. But know that they are older and have always used those keys. They are so fast!

The issue I have with the keys you suggest is that I would be bound up with fingers criss crossing to do the combos I use. Really wish I hadn't sold my Nostromos years back.

Ok next huge problem YOUR INTERNET :)

Wireless I don't care how many bars you have IT WILL NEVER BE AS GOOD AS WIRED!
If you can make your own wires do cat5e or cat6.

A GOOD router will make a huge difference, disabling the wireless while you play (if you can) will also give you a huge boost!

    DNS
Testing your DNS servers again can make a HUGE difference in your online gaming. Most ISP's have very SLOW DNS servers. :( The only one I see that are pretty fast are Verizon FIOS.

Download this tool and run a benchmark, it will benchmark cached, uncached and .com tests.
For gaming you want the fastest .com speed. Run it at least three times.
    https://www.grc.com/dns/benchmark.htm

Check the speeds under Tubular Data

    Cached:
It how fast it can load a website already on your hard drive that is always fast.
(This is how AOL works AOL is a NSP no an ISP so it downloads the whole site to your hard drive, then you browse your hard drive NOT THE INTERNET)

    Un-Cached:
These will be websites on your hard drive but are not completely downloaded or have changed.

    .COM:
This is how fast a new page loads, a website you have never visited, search results and also the most important speed for gaming.

Most of the tests I run no matter where in the world you are seem to be FIOS, OpenDNS & the devil "google" LOL

If you have a good router you can set these in the router. If not and you're using one provided by your ISP "AT&T, Charter, Verizon..." Best thing to do would be buy a router and disable the wireless in the ISP provided router.

If you can't or don't want to buy a router you can set the custom DNS on your gaming computer.
You will need to go into your network adapters and set a STATIC (INTERNAL) IP & the new FASTER DNS numbers.

If you don't know how to set a STATIC INTERNAL IP ask and I will put up screen shots on how to do it.

And if all my game tips seem CRAZY and you are TOTALLY KICKING MY BUTT IN EVERY GAME?
Well keep doing what you're doing. :) If not you may want to consider trying a few of the tips I have listed. :)
And you can start :stomp: ING players :)

As always any question just ask.

    @Eric
Sorry Eric didn't see your old post.
You should play with us one day in a online game not local. :) then you can tell how good your drag mouse and corner keys are.

Most of the time I can keep up with people that are cheating. I can only imagine how bad they would be without cheats.
