Video Card Crypto Mining Benchmarks

  • These are all the cards I had access to and the currencies I tested on Minergate. Faster newer CPU's will affect the speed very slightly. CPU's can mine but unless you have a very fast one it will take a year to make $10. :)

All the cards have a 100 MHz overclock on memory only. There wasn't enough gain going above 100 MHz to be worth
killing the video cards. (you will see a slight gain at +50MHZ on the clock and 125 to 150MHZ on memory) I ran each coin for 10 minutes to see an average speed. Of course the speeds
are always changing up and down. So I went with the lowest average speed.

First thing I learned was buying 1080's or 1080 TI's is just a huge waste of money. Unless you really just don't have the space. The best hash for the cash are the EVGA 1060's you get about 20 MH/s on Ethereum, 1080 SC 23, 1080 TI 28 to 30. So for about $310 you get 20 to 22 (using the GUI - higher in console miners) for $700 to $1,000 you get 23, for $1,100 to $1,400 you get 28!

Three EVGA GTX 1060's get 60 to 66 MH/s for $930 (You will make about $50.00 per month depending on coin values.) Coins go up and if you have a six card rig. You will make just over $150 per month.
Just enter the hash rate to see monthly income. https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/calculator/eth
(It's not rocket science just use one of the crypto calculators.)
    One 1060 SC you get 22 MH/s for $310 to $325
    One 1080 SC2 you get 23 MH/s for $800 to $1,000.
One 1080 TI you get 28 MH/s for $900 to $1,300. (the worst hash to cash card)
Not to mention power consumption the 1060 is by far the cheapest to run!

The best hash per cash on XMR Moreno are the RX 560's they are way to slow for anything else. But on XMR you can average around 360 H/s for $139 to $169 per card. Plus you can run 12 of these cards on one 1000 watt power supply! And 12 cards would get 4320 H/s! Using the Claymore Console Miner but you need a board that can do 12 cards.

You will notice that the 2 gig Nvidia cards do really well but remember at only 2 gigs there are coins they can not mine.
But if you're on a budget 12 EVGA 2 gig 1050's can hit 3840 H/s on XMR and they are only or were around $112!

Best cards based on cash to hash ratings.

Update June 04 2018 these are new benchmarks on AMD/ATI cards on ETH after a bios mod. Got some help from a friend on how to flash faster bios on the RX 560's & RX 580's.
    Old Speeds
    Gigabyte AMD/ATI RX 560 4 gigs
    Ethereum ETH = 4.7 MH/s
    New Speed
    Ethereum ETH = 12-13 MH/s (Windows 10 Pro)

    Gigabyte AMD/ATI RX 580 8 gigs
    Ethereum ETH = 18-20 MH/s
    New Speed
    Ethereum ETH = 29-31 MH/s (Windows 10 Pro)
So flashing those cards made a huge difference in ETH and and every other coin!
Also ONLY in Winblows 10 set "COMPUTE" for each card under "Gaming" in the AMD/ATI software.

Coming soon "How to Flash the AMD/ATI bios" (waiting on more cards than I will take screen shots)
