Monitor and Control your Nvidia Fan Speed in Linux.You should have already installed Nvidia X-Server.
That will show your temps but your fans will be set at default "AUTO"
Open a Terminal Window
Type or copy and paste these lines of text press enter after each line.
sudo nvidia-xconfig
sudo nvidia-xconfig --cool-bits=4
If you don't have a xconfig file it will make one for you.
Restart your computer and check the box above Fan Speed and set the speed you like.
Turn on Nvidia fan control in Linux (Xubuntu, Ubuntu tested)
Now you can set any fan speed for gaming! LOL
