The look is different, but it is MUCH FASTER than windows 7 :)

Here are a few getting started tweaks :)
Defrag your drives in Windows 8 Hit the windows key +R In the RUN box type in dfrgui.exe, click enter.
If you have SSD drives be sure to turn those drives OFF. Defragging SSD (Solid State Drives) will shorten the life of those drives. SSD drives never need to be defragged :)
To get into Safe Mode in Windows 8: Tap or click the power icon Power icon from the sign-in screen, hold Shift, and
then tap or click Restart
Get the classic start button back without doing a registry hack :)
Classic Shell Menu version 4.2.1 You can use this to get your start menu back in Windows 8, 8.1 or customize your start menu in Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 10.

off the sidebar, drag the gadgets anywhere on any screen you want.
Works 32 or 64bit Windows.
You can install this program, turn off the side bar and still add gadgets anywhere on any screen.

So you can easily open any of the tools listed above with just two clicks. This command works with any application open including the Start Metro screen of Windows 8. You don’t need to go to the desktop first. I hope you enjoy these quick admin tools at your fingertips. If you are looking for a keyboard shortcut for the quick admin tools menu, the Windows 8 shortcut for opening quick admin tools is
WIN+X.
REMOVE LIBRARIES: Launch the regedit with WIN+R - type regedit hit enter and go to the following location:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{031E4825-7B94-4dc3-B131-E946B44C8DD5}\ShellFolder
Open the "Permission..." on the ShellFolder and open the "Advanced" settings

Change the Owner to "Administrators" or your username
Now you can set "Full Control" to the Administrators and change the values. Now double-click on Attributes DWORD and change the value to b090010d and now the ANNOYING libraries are gone :)
