Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 Faster Than Xbox One
Everyone’s all excited about the next generation gaming console from Microsoft, the Xbox One. It is common knowledge that any decent hardcore gamer would always go for the Xbox over any other console, but when it comes to gaming, the PC still reigns supreme. And that’s what Nvidia knows best.

Not long after the Xbox One was officially revealed – indeed, you probably didn’t even have time to rattle out all its specs – Nvidia made noise about its new graphics chip. Dubbed the GeForce GTX 780, the new graphics chip is bound to blow your mind away. Gamer or not. But especially if you’re a gamer.

The GeForce GTX 780 is set to outperform everything else in existence, including the Xbox One. The new graphics chip from the world’s largest and probably best standalone graphics chip maker is backed by 250 watts of power and can execute 4 teraflops in single-precision mode.

    Contest over, isn’t it?

Given that the Kinect is also coming to Windows, even those who use the Xbox for the motion sensor can easily find reasons to switch to the PC. It is also common knowledge that PC gaming technology has always been ahead of console technology, and with the GeForce GTX 780, that is only further supported.

Other crucial specs about the GeForce GTX 780:

    It has Kepler-based GPU
    It has 2,304 cores
It has 3GB of GDDR5 memory

According to Scott Herkelman of Nvidia, the GeForce GTX 780 “delivers the fastest framerate and smoothest animation at a value never before seen in PC gaming. This level of performance allows gamers to become fully immersed into a game the way the developers originally intended.”

Can you just imagine playing your favorite FPS on a machine running this graphics chip?

Take a look at the launch video and be impressed.

I should leave it at that, but I feel compelled to remind you that all this comes at a price.

I love this part:) "but when it comes to gaming, the PC still reigns supreme."

But lets get serious :) you don't need a 780 GTX to be faster than an xbox LOL
Go back about 5 to 7 years to the FX cards, no even lower. Well to be honest I can't even think of a video card no matter how old that can only do 29 frames per second (FPS). 29.3 FPS is the max any console can do :)

If you play on a computer, 60 FPS is lowest you can ever put up with. Anything lower is just un-playable!
