Any hard drive at this stage or close to this stage will cause your systemto have random lock ups, freeze, blue screen of death, "this pc has encountered a problem and has restarted...blah blah".Any huge drop in speed is a sign that drive has problems. And you will also notice high or much higher CPU use.That is your system doing it's best to read from the dead or dying hard drive. :(Here are some benchmarks of my hard drives most are healthy lol I replace them at any sign of FAILURE!And I use the ONLY cloud back-up to NEVER be hacked :) OneDrive! OneDrive has it's downsides but the positivefar out weigh the negative! Price, sharing, easy to use are un-beaten! Download speed if you need to replace a hard drivenot so good. :( I recovered 983 gigabytes on a failed 2TB seagate but it took about 7 days! But that was still... less
