A 5-year-old boy was swept away by floodwaters on the state's central coast on Monday and entire coastal community’s home to Prince Harry, Oprah Winfrey and other celebrities were ordered to evacuate on the fifth anniversary. There are serious mudslides. President Joe Biden issued an emergency declaration Monday to support storm response and relief efforts in more than a dozen counties. Hundreds of thousands of people were without power and some schools were closed for the day. Roads and highways turned into torrential rivers, trees were uprooted, mudslides and motorists roared as they hit roadblocks caused by falling debris.
